about

i started building, because i didn't want to wait.

i'm sanni. a DP1 student in the international baccalaureate, based in sydney, and i build things on the side. products, essays, the occasional video. whatever the idea is, i'd rather make it than talk about it.

positive came first. a micro-journaling app made so reflection takes ten seconds instead of ten minutes. i designed it, built it in react native, and shipped it on vercel and supabase.

wander followed, an audio guide concept for seeing a city the way a local would. before both of those, a fitness challenge app taught me how to take something from a first idea all the way to a real, shipped product.

i also make things people read and watch. i think out loud about building, studying, and everything in between, and i care about doing it in a voice that sounds like a person and not a brand. the creator side keeps me honest. it makes me explain what i'm doing and why, which usually makes the work better.

underneath all of it is curiosity i refuse to leave unfinished. my extended essay puts kendrick lamar and bad bunny in the same room to ask how two artists working in different languages turn identity into a whole sound. luminos is a discussion club i co-host with my close friend Sarah Lang.

the product work and the academic work feed each other. one teaches me how to ship. the other teaches me how to think. i'm not interested in choosing between them.
